Obama is not a narcissist--though many of the people feeling wildly enraged, wounded pride today surely are.
Obama is not a sociopath--though many of those who, without the slightest
hint of remorse, created false, baseless delusions about his life and
his past have more than demonstrated their utter disregard for society
and truth most characteristic of Antisocial Personality Disorder.
And you, though unhappy today, are not a diagnostician.
Let your arguments ride upon facts--as you have in the past, and as
you can--and not on the impulsive misuse of disorder, which swarmed
throughout this campaign in its unrestrained calumnies, and which adds
nothing to the argument or to the nation

Matalin as well as AB Stoddard who referred to Obama as an egomaniac on Special Report last night are trying to clearly not trying to be diagnosticians. In the post -Oprah age where terms like this were over exploited for the sake of tv ratings, psychiatric disease terminology has become part of the lexicon.
These very bright and savvy women are indicating that this President and his motives are clearly not 'right'.
Smart women are notoriously intuitive in identifying 'high risk' men.
The problem here is this:
They are both unhappy with the outcome.
Because of this, they use pseudo-diagnosis as forms of attack for their own dissatisfaction and rage--wildly thrown, frankly inaccurate.
It is exactly this approach--the use of baseless, factless fantasies, expressed as though they are truths of birth, religion, diagnosis--that played a significant role in bringing the Republicans to defeat.
They are both intelligent, savvy women.
And they need not reach for such calumnies simply because a) they disagree with President and b) they are unhappy about the outcome.
